Kick it like WOMEN

The future of women's football

They are young, they are confident, they are ambitious. They are professional football players, role models, influencers – and above all, they are one thing: committed both athletically and professionally. They have been ignored for far too long, laughed at, and underestimated for far too long. But since the 2023 World Cup, it's clear: the world can no longer ignore women's football. Even die-hard critics must admit: it's the women who are currently creating the football atmosphere in the country – there's an atmosphere of change in women's football. The aspiring female professionals are ready to make the dream of a new, female summer fairytale come true. Despite the early exit in the 2023 World Cup, even more hopes are now pinned on the 2025 European Championship.

Kick it like WOMEN accompanies young aspiring players on their journey to the top of football, top talents who have already made it into the best teams of the German Women's Bundesliga, and professional players from top teams. What does it mean for a 14-year-old to meet the expectations in this competitive environment far away from home? How is it for an 18-year-old to be on the field in front of 20,000 spectators, with all eyes on oneself? Between fear of injuries, shattered dreams, stage fright, and competition pressure, success and defeat are just as much a part of it as an unyielding ambition, self-confidence, and above all, one thing: perseverance. Who might eventually make it into the national team roster for the 2025 European Championship?"
